Carol Jeanne Tyson

In loving memory of Carol Jeanne Tyson who passed on February 9th, 2026. Carol "Jeanne" was born in Seaford, Delaware on December 21st, 1937 as Carol Jeanne Matthews. At the age of 17, she married Herman Carl Tyson, age 18 and they were married for 60 wonderful years while raising four beautiful children. Upon retirement, they settled in El Paso, TX. Jeanne and her husband enjoyed many wonderful friends and their hosted potlucks were the highlight of each month. They traveled all over the world, and Jeanne was famous for taking ALL the pictures. She also enjoyed the social groups of which she was a part, celebrating birthdays, charity organizations and social events. She was quite the social butterfly.

Jeanne is preceded in death by Herman Tyson, her parents Lloyd Matthews and Louise Zeallor, and her stepfather Melvin Zeallor. She is survived by her brother Lloyd Matthews Jr., her sister Sharon Need, her four children; Donna and her husband Mark Pasemannn of Willis Texas; David and his wife Tina Tyson of Houston Texas; Sandra and her husband Ricky Schroeder of Anderson Texas, and Brenda Rahal of Gig Harbor Washington; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Vitas Hospice, to her caregiver Yolanda Woods, and to the many family and friends for their love and support.
