Carol Velsor

CHICHESTER- Mrs. Carol E. (Whitehead) Velsor, 81, of Chichester formerly of Barrington, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her beloved family and friends on April 12, 2024.
Born in Boston, Carol was the daughter of the late Garfield J. and Margaret E. Whitehead. She was raised and educated in West Epping and later attended NHTI, where she majored in Nursing.
Carol worked as a registered nurse throughout the northeast, beginning in New Hampshire before matriculating to Pennsylvania for a time and then returning to New Hampshire, where she spent many years in the New Hampshire prison system before finally working for the former Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, from which she retired in 2019.
She was a member of the New Hampshire Nurses Association. Carol was an avid dog lover, especially Newfoundlands.
She was predeceased by her son, Steve Bartlett.
Carol is survived by her husband of over 28 years, John P. Velsor. She is also survived by her son, Tom Fortier of Chichester as well as her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, April 17th from 5 to 7 P.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home - Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. In accordance with her wishes, burial will take place privately with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Granite VNA, 30 Pillsbury St. Concord, NH 03301.
