Carol Whisenhunt passed away after a long illness, peacefully, at her home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, on June 14, 2025. She was born in Astoria, Queens, and moved with her family, as a young girl, to Concord, California. In the early years of her adult life, she worked as a special assistant for several CEO’s of nationally based companies in the Bay Area. She retired in May 2017 as Vice President of Benchmark Transactions, M & A Firm, here in Colorado. She was preceded in death by her father, Vince Donovan, Mother, Margaret (Fore) Donovan, and sister, Patricia (Donovan) Mellon. She is survived by the “Love of her Life,” her husband of 52 ½ years, Steven Whisenhunt.
Carol was a compassionate soul whose love for animals knew no bounds. She shared her love for travel, animals, adventure, and zest for life with her beloved husband, Steve. Her legacy is one of kindness and inspiration. She will be missed but never forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future. The family asks that donations be made to:
