Carol Ann (Chaney) Willsey, 71, of Clinton, IN passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 1, 2025. She was born in Rockville, IN on April 20, 1954 to Glen and Virginia Chaney. Carol and her husband, Raymond R. Willsey, Jr. were married at the Rockville Christian Church on August 16, 1980. Survivors include her husband Ray, daughter Shonda Sue Bender (and husband Andy) of Sheridan, IN, son John Evan Willsey (and wife Lindsey) of Omaha, NE, son Michael Ray of West Terre Haute, IN; along with three grandchildren, Evelyn Ann, June Cory, and Max Evan Willsey.

Carol was a 1972 graduate of Rockville High School and a 1976 graduate of Indiana State University receiving a BS degree in elementary/early childhood education. She received her MS degree in 1985. Carol taught at Highland Elementary School in Perrysville, IN from the fall of 1976 to the spring of 1985 and for three years at Milford Grade School in Milford, IL. She continued her teaching career as a substitute teacher in Effingham, IL for 14 years, Dugger, IN for three years, and Attica, IN for 7 years.

Carol also worked 10 years as a homemaker for Nurse Care and Help At Home in Terre Haute, IN working with the elderly.

Her faith, family, and friends were important to her. She was a member of State Line Christian Church, Attica Christian Church, Dugger Christian Church, Effingham Christian Church, Milford Christian Church, and Rockville Christian Church. She liked the small town life, enjoyed cooking, crafts, and yard sales.

She was known for her great attitude, desire to help others, and her overall friendliness. If Carol could communicate one last message to others, she would say "Be Kind".
