Wellman- Carol Elaine Wilson was born July 3, 1947 the daughter of Harold and Leola Jean (Bottger) Kessel. She graduated from North English Valley High School in1965. Carol worked for Owen’s Brush. On August 23, 1991 Carol was united in marriage to James Wilson. Carol enjoyed spending time with family, shopping, and caring for her pets. Carol passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Parkview Manor in Wellman at the age of 77 years.
Carol is survived by her four children: Angelia Griffin of Wellman, Melissa Griffin of Kinross, Scott Griffin of Wellman and James Wilson Jr of North Liberty, two sisters of Wellman Nancy Townsend and Connie Kessel, and three grandchildren Sydnee Griffin, Morgan and Ella Brunk. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Burial will be held at a later date. A general memorial fund has been established.
