Carol Wilson

Carol Douglas Wilson, of Chicopee, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on September 14, 1966, in Chicopee, she was the beloved daughter of Tennyson Wilson and Carolyn (Washington) Wilson. Carol was a proud graduate of Commerce High School and went on to earn her degree in stenography from Springfield Technical Community College. She built a successful career as a self-employed stenographer, freelancing for numerous law firms throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. Her dedication and professionalism were admired by all who worked with her. Beyond her career, Carol was known for her many passions. She loved to sing, sew, and cook, but nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family. Her infectious laugh could light up any room, and it will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Carol is survived by her devoted daughter, Dana Kelly of Springfield; her loving mother, Carolyn (Washington) Wilson; her sisters, Leslie Langford of Springfield and Vanessa Wilson- Williams and her husband James Williams, also of Springfield. She also leaves behind her cherished niece, Erica Langford, and nephew, Austin Langford, along with a large extended family including many cousins who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her father, Tennyson Wilson; her brother, Eric Wilson; and her sister, Dana Morton. Family and friends are invited to a calling hour on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA. A funeral home service will be at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow for Carol in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bay Street in Springfield. Carol's warmth, humor, and deep love for her family leave a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed.
