Carol A. Wingate

Carol A. Wingate of Burlington passed away on November 10, 2025, at the Masonic Village. She was 83.
Born in Danville, PA, she moved to Burlington as a teenager and was a graduate of Burlington City High School. She first earned her LPN in Princeton and then went on to earn her RN and M.Ed. from Columbia University in New York where she worked for many years. Carol even worked in Scotland as a nurse for several years. She more recently worked in Nursing Administration for Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia.
Carol loved to travel and went to many different places around the world. She also used to enjoy playing golf. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed playing games such as Rummikub, pinocle, and even chess.
The daughter of the late Verna and Conway Wingate, she is survived by her sisters and brothers; Gale (Robert) Ashton of Roseburg, OR, Pam (Robert) Michael of Voorhees, NJ, Roy (Carmella) Kerstetter of Burlington Twp., NJ, Roland (Audrey) Kerstetter, and Rick (Colleen) Kerstetter all of Westampton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 and the service at 2:00 at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly, NJ.
