In Loving Memory of Carol Ann Zajas
Carol Ann Zajas, 79, of Trenton passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, following a complicated surgery. She was surrounded by family who loved her as she transitioned to eternal rest.
Carol dedicated many years of her life to her career as a human resource manager, serving at Marathon Oil Company, IPMC Paper Company, and concluding her career as an administrative assistant for attorney Harvey Beck. Her professionalism, dedication, and compassionate spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
She found solace and joy in the beauty of the world around her and spent her retirement years with her husband Paul amidst the serene landscapes of Northern Michigan, accompanied by their Tennessee Walker horses, beloved dogs, and crazy chickens. Carol had a passion for gardening, baking, and spending peaceful afternoons on the porch, surrounded by the beauty of the ferns and wildlife around her.
Her family and friends will always remember Carol for her laughter and silly sense of humor. She had a knack for always looking beautiful and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it was a day spent shopping, tending to her horses or admiring the blossoms in her garden. Carol's elegance and grace were as timeless as her love for Jesus. She radiated beauty and kindness to all she encountered.
Born to the late June Louise Retli, She is survived by her beloved husband Paul Zajas, her daughters Gloria Klopfer, MaryKay (John) Balboni, Lori (Michael) Bartos, and her son Jerry (Gail) Klopfer. Carol was also a cherished stepmother to Nicholas (Nichole) Zajas, Lisa (Cole) Freestone, and Lindsey Zajas. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in the hearts of her 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, along with her siblings Linda Klopfer, Jim Retli, and Denise Germain, who join the family in mourning her loss.
A celebration of Carol's life will be held on:
Friday April 5th at Voran Funeral Home, located at 5900 Allen Rd in Allen Park.
Calling hours: 2 pm to 8 pm.
Beginning at 5:30 pm Pastor Rick Sparks will perform a celebration of life service.
All are welcome to spend the day with us. Comfortable seating, food and refreshments provided.
Though she has bid farewell to this earthly realm, Carol's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest eternally in the arms of her Savior, Jesus, finding solace in His embrace.
