Carol Ann Zurawski, age 69. Devoted daughter of the late John Joseph and Helen Zurawski (nee Truchel); fond sister of the late John Paul (the late Jacqueline), Josephine (Walter) Szarowicz, Helene (William) McMahon; loving aunt of Mary (David) Tarchala, John Anthony, Josephine (Craig) Grant, Walter Szarowicz, Deborah (Kalin) Richardson, Jennifer (Nicholas) Flemm, and William (Kayla) McMahon; great-aunt of Daniel, John Luke, Nicholas, McKinley, Casey, William, and Elizabeth.
Carol Ann Zurawski was born in Chicago in 1955. Carol was a lifelong active member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America and spent many hours of her childhood Polish dancing. Later she served as financial secretary for Society #475. Carol showed a great passion for building community with over 35 years in sales as an Avon representative. Carol was a dedicated Chicago Crossing Guard with over 30 years of service. She brought a smile to many distributing holiday packages for the kids of the neighborhood until she retired in 2020. As a lifelong Cubs fan, Carol thoroughly enjoyed her retirement by watching ball games and updating her friends and family after each game.
Family and friends will meet Thursday, September 12, 2024, at St. John Cantius Church, 825 North Carpenter Street, Chicago, Illinois 60642 for a 9:30 a.m. Visitation followed by a 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Entombment St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Illinois.
