Carolann (Howard) Eldridge

August 2, 1951 - August 12, 2025

Carolann (Howard) Eldridge, of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of North Conway, NH, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025, with her beloved husband, Peter Eldridge, by her side.

Born on August 2, 1951, in North Conway, NH to Janet K Howard and Buster Howard. Carol was a strong-willed, independent woman who lived life with passion and determination. She had a love for competition and excelled in a wide variety of sports, including golf, darts, bowling, fishing and softball. Her natural athleticism and competitive spirit made her a force to be reckoned with in anything she set her mind to.

She was deeply dedicated to her family, cherishing every moment spent together. She especially loved camping with Pete, her children and grandchildren-gathering around the campfire, roasting s'mores, and enjoying peaceful days by the water, fishing. Her love for the outdoors was matched only by her passion for horses, which brought her joy and peace throughout her life.

Carol was also a talented quilter, creating many beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and care. Her quilts were more than just fabric and thread-they were treasured works of art that will continue to warm the hearts of those who received them.

Carol was predeceased by her Mom, Janet K. Howard. She is survived by her husband, Peter Eldridge; her daughter, Josie Beattie, and husband Stephen Beattie of Conway, NH; and her son, Nathan Frechette, and wife Kristin Frechette, of Conway, NH. Carol was a proud and loving grandmother to Gabe Seavey, Arielle Murphy, Braxtyn Frechette, Olivia Frechette, Lucas Frechette, and Kasen Frechette. Carol is also survived by her stepdaughter Quincy, her husband Christopher Lafrance, and granddaughters, Amanda and Samantha of Bothell, Washington. She was blessed with five great-grandchildren: Charlie, Coulter, Maeve, Mabel, and Walker.

Carol also leaves behind her siblings:

David Howard and his wife Joan, Richard Howard and his late wife, Lois Howard, Kathy Holt and her husband Steve, Steven Howard and his wife Kathy, and Kevin Howard.

Throughout her life, she wore many hats - from waitress, restaurant manager, golf course manager to bookkeeper.

She found her true calling as a nurse and spent the latter half of her career caring for others at Tamworth Community Nursing, Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives.

Her patients felt her kindness so deeply that many sent her home with heartfelt gifts. After a fulfilling career, she retired to Florida with her beloved husband, Peter Eldridge, where they enjoyed the sunshine, a slower pace, and the well-earned rest they both deserved.

Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family invites you to join them in celebrating her life on Saturday, September 20th, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the American Legion, Tasker Hill Road, Conway, NH.
