Carole G. Blinder

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Carole (nee-Kroll) Blinder, age 82, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Valley Hospital in Paramus surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 5, 1943 in Newark, NJ, she was a daughter to Sylvia Rand and Bernard Kroll. Carole grew up in Mountainside, NJ before moving to Parsippany in 1969 when she married her husband of 43 years, Harold.

Carole was always great with numbers and worked as a bookkeeper throughout her life and helped Harold at the family business, J Blinder & Sons. Although her most important role was being a devoted homemaker. Later in life she became a valued team member for PNC Bank in Mountain Lakes.

Carole was known for her incredible resilience, kindness, and thoughtfulness with her family and friends. She sent a card for every occasion and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. Mom was truly adored by everyone she met and treated everyone with love and respect. She was one of a kind.

Her granddaughter Brooke was her greatest pride and joy. She loved watching Brooke follow in my footsteps as an Equestrian and see us share this passion together. Her goal was to survive to see Brooke become a Bat Mitzvah this past January. It was a glorious day to be remembered forever. She was a fighter until the very end.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Lori Barr, granddaughter, Brooke Barr, Lori's spouse, Chris Lutz, Brooke's dad, David Barr and a host of other cherished family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Kroll, mother, Sylvia (Rand) Bennett and her husband, Harold Blinder.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Par-Troy Funeral Home on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 11:00 a.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home.

Interment will immediately follow at B'Nai Abraham Memorial Park in Union.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to the ASPCA.

Shiva will be held at Lori's home 175 Melrose Place, Ridgewood, NJ, 07450 on Monday, 9/1, from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Service at 7:00 p.m.) as well as on Tuesday, 9/2 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Service at 7:00 p.m.).

Carole's legacy of love, warmth, and resilience will forever inspire us. She will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
