Carole Cellucci Obituary
HAVERHILL - Carole Ann Cellucci, 88, of Newburyport, formerly of Scituate, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Wellborn and Joseph Cellucci, and daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Walsh) Coleman.
Carole grew up in Chelsea, Massachusetts, and graduated from Chelsea High School. She was an only child and always wanted to have a large family. She and her first husband, Kenneth Wellborn, had five children together. They had moved from Massachusetts to Michigan for his career, but after his untimely death, she moved her family back to Massachusetts, where she met the second love of her life, Joseph Cellucci. They raised her five children in Billerica and later enjoyed many grandchildren in the retirement home he built for them in Scituate. Carole thrived making a loving home and being surrounded by her family and friends.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Coreen Spencer and husband Tom of Franklin, and son, Kenneth Wellborn and wife Catherine of Haverhill, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Ashley and Colette Spencer, Christopher Wellborn and wife Tia, Paul Michael, Brian, and Kevin McGrath. She is additionally survived by son in-law, Paul McGrath of Haverhill, her beloved sister in-law Mary (Cellucci) Emerson of Eugene, Oregon, and her lifelong friend Gerry Fuller. She was predeceased by daughters Donna McGrath and Deborah Wellborn, and son James Wellborn.
Carole's final years were enhanced because of the love, companionship, and advocacy of her loyal friend and aide Kim McDonough. She was additionally blessed by Shylla Quijano's compassionate care while she was a resident at Port Healthcare Center.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation on Thursday, January 16, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main Street, Haverhill at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
