Barbara Hansen Obituary
She was born in Haverhill on Jan. 8, 1935, daughter of the late Remi and Hazel (Brunelle) Charoux.
Barbara graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1952 and was employed as an ICU secretary at the former Hale Hospital and Merrimack Valley Hospital for over 23 years, retiring in 2000.
She enjoyed summering in Scarborough, Maine at her camp and wintering in the Caribbean.
Barbara was the wife of the late Frederick J. Hansen, who passed in 1972 and is survived by her son Scott J. Hansen and his wife Anna of Merrimac, MA; her daughter Pamela J. Hansen of Haverhill; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her significant other Michael Shagrue.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the calling hours on Thursday, Feb. 12 from 4-6 PM at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 13 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
