Carole Ann Davison, 85, of Indianola, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, in McAlester.
Viewing will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Bishop Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Pastor Rodney Karch officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Ward, Scott Spears, Dalton Pantle, Roger Casey, Gabe Patrick, and Ash Mayfield.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Ketchum, Matt Pryor, Jaxon Anderson, and Nolan McElhany.
Carole was born May 14, 1940, in Joplin, Missouri. She graduated from Joplin Senior High School in 1958 and went on to attend Bolivar Bible College for one year. She worked at Forall Bible Shop from 1959 to 1967 before moving to Memphis, Tennessee, where she was employed with Schumacher Mortgage Company.
In 1968, Carole married Pastor Leon Davison in Kingston Springs, Tennessee. Together they made their home in Eufaula (Indian Springs) in 1969, later moving to McAlester in 1975, and then to Richville. Carole worked briefly at J.C. Penney but devoted much of her life as a homemaker and pastor's wife.
She was a faithful member of Canadian First Southern Baptist Church. Carole was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed cheering for the Oklahoma Sooners women's basketball and softball teams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Pauline (Alley) Graveson; her husband, Pastor Leon Davison in 2010; her sister, Barbara Kay Ross; and her son-in-law, Emery Spears.
Carole is survived by her sons, Bill Davison and wife Kathy, Layne Davison and wife Kerry; her daughter, Belinda Spears; her grandchildren, Greg, Laura, Billy Wayne, Jennifer, Randy, Scott, George, Jayme, Jessie, Ryan, and Anna; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
