Carole Ann Mayerchak Hostetler, age 70 of Northwood, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024
surrounded by her loving family at Hospice of NW Ohio.
Carole was a long time resident of Las Vegas where she was part of the management team of a small casino downtown. She became a private celebrity limo driver, she was the lead driver on the set of Oceans 11, and then afterwards, the driver for many other headliner celebrities.
She recently was co-owner of Denny's Time Out Tavern in Millbury, OH with her long term boyfriend Denny Boos. She found great joy in hosting fundraisers, holidays and sporting events at the tavern. She had a great love for animals who were naturally drawn to her. Carole was an avid stock car and NASCAR race fan.
She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and fun loving character.
Preceding Carole in death are her parents Marjorie and Albert Mayerchak of Mercer, PA, her half sister, Linda Gasper of Hingham, MA and her ex husband, Cary Hostetler of Somerset, PA.
Carole leaves behind two daughters Natalie Hostetler (Ron Bailey) of Saint Clairsville, OH and Amanda Hostetler of Wisconsin.
Carole grew up in Mercer, PA with her siblings, Linda (Bob) Fimognari of Northwood, OH, Tom (Regina) Mayerchak of Linwood, NC, Margie (Randy) Gerard of Minnetonka, MN and Christine (Anthony) Horvath of Columbiana, OH.
Surviving also, are nieces, Maria (Justin) Brown of Tampa, FL and Stephanie (Rob) Weber of Toledo, OH. Nephews, Jeff (Joey) Blaze of Atlanta, GA, Anthony Fimognari of Toledo, OH, Ryan (Renee) Gasper of Bellingham, MA, Michael (Jill) Gasper of Richmond, VA, Trevor (Susie) Gasper of South Bend, IN, and Tyler (Ashley) Gasper of Halifax, MA.
A very heartfelt thank you to the aides, nurses and staff at Majestic Care of Toledo, where Carole was a resident for 2 years. Also to the nurses and aides at Bay Park Hospital and Hospice of NW Ohio for the kindness, compassion and comfort Carole and her family received.
A visitation on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, will take place from 2 pm - 5 pm at the Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home in Walbridge. We will take Carole to her final resting place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, gathering at the funeral home at 10 am and processing to Lake Township Cemetery for interment at 10:15 am.
