Carole Louise Kelly, 81, died at Riverside Hospital on Tuesday, August 30,2022, after a brief illness. Carole was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jessie and Mary Baker on July 25,1941.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, and her only sibling, Bonnie Steele. Carole was well liked and had many friends due to her kind, gentle and giving ways. She was assistant manager of Safeway in Hampton and was recognized by customers practically everywhere she went. Carole also was medical records supervisor at Hampton Roads Eye Associates for years until retirement.
Upon retirement, she went anywhere she was invited and attended birthday parties, movie nights, bingo, wine and cheese parties, and dinners. Although everyone who knew her knew her favorite food was Burger King and she was allergic to everything she didnt like. She always found a group that she would sit around with and talk for hours.
Carole was a faithful member of Community Presbyterian Church in Hampton where she served as an Elder.
A memorial service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church on Sept.17th at
1:00 with Rev. Ron Blade officiating and burial will be in Kelly N.C. later. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Carole, please visit our Tree Store.
