MAXWELL, Carole J. (Boyce), of Norwood, MA formerly of Westwood, MA died November 10, 2024. Beloved wife of the late James P. Maxwell for 58 years. Loving mother of Eric Maxwell and his wife Amber of Westwood, MA; Steve Maxwell and his wife Leslie of Broomfield, CO.

Blessed in life to have spent time making memories with grandchildren Luke Boyce, Briana Renee, and Colin James Maxwell, as well as Zoe and Sydney Toupin and Alex Patterson.

Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

A native of Fitchburg, MA Carole was an avid sports fan, a passion she developed with her father from a young age. She counted the Red Sox, Patriots and BC Eagles as her favorites. After summers working the Boyce family farm in Lincoln, attending St. Bernards High School and Becker College, Carole pursued professional success as an executive assistant at Arthur D. Little, Cullinet Software, and Honeywell. Carole found the love of her life during her youthful days on Beacon Street in Boston, and married Jim in 1965. She raised her family in Westwood, MA, active in youth sports, the St. Denis community, and the Westwood Garden Club. Together Jim and Carole enjoyed frequent travel with family and friends, with fondness for ocean destinations. In recent years they focused on spoiling their grandkids and other family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn & Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Friday, December 6th from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning, December 7th at 10am in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood. Interment to follow at New Westwood Cemetery.
