Carole Reeder Obituary
Carole M. Reeder, age 80 of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. Born in Hagerstown, MD on January 4, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Leona Bricker Miller.
Mrs. Reeder was a 1961 graduate of the Greencastle-Antrim Senior high School. She went on to work at the former Grove Worldwide as a secretary for 33 years, and then at First Data for 11 years, retiring in 2014. Carole was a member of the Greencastle Church of the Brethren, American Legion Post 373 Auxiliary, VFW Post6319 Auxiliary, both in Greencastle and a former member of the America Business Women's Association. She enjoyed boating on Raystown Lake, reading, adult coloring, and her dogs.
Surviving are two sons, Scott Statler (wife Kelli) and Brian Statler both of Greencastle, PA; two grandchildren, Andria Statler Price (husband Caleb), and Devin Statler (Haleigh Bonner); and five great-grandchildren, Kaira Suders, Carter Price, Spencer Statler, Sterling Statler, Steele Statler; and four siblings, Ronnie Miller, Linda Hoffman (Bob), Jim Miller (Sue), and Greg Miller (Linda). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Richard F. Reeder on March 9, 2023, whom she married on January 6, 1989.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 11 AM at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA, where Pastor Fred Keener will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Greencastle Church of the Brethren, 36 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, PA 17225.
