Carole J. Rieppel

Carole J Rieppel, 86, of Westfield PA passed away on Saturday June 21, 2025 at Broad Acres Nursing Home in Wellsboro PA. She was born in Cowanesque, PA on July 29,1938 where she lived for 76 years, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Dorotha (Treat) Huyler. She married William J Rieppel on June 14, 1958 at the Cowanesque Methodist Church, they were married for 32 years and raised four children. Carole graduated from Cowanesque Valley High School in 1956 and was a graduate of the Hartford Airline School, Hartford CT. She worked for General Motors Acceptance Center in Elmira NY. Carole served as President of The Cowanesque Valley Iron Works from 1990-2000 following the death of her husband. She and her husband opened The Cast Iron Home and Gift Shop, Cowanesque PA in 1987. Carole is survived by her three children, Tamela Rieppel of Mansfield PA, Kimberlee (Bill Morgan) of Rome, NY and Kelli Jo Rieppel of Westfield, PA. Sister Janet Bulger (Robert) of Mt. Pleasant NC, Brothers Neil Huyler (Donna) of Inverness FL, Dennis Huyler of Westfield PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased in death by her husband William in 1990 and son Jeffery Rieppel in July 2016. As per Carole's request, there will be no services. There will be a private family burial at their convenience. Memorial donations may be made to the Cowanesque Valley Methodist Church 2911Rte 49, Westfield PA 16950. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc.
