Carole A. (Slattery) Shaw, 88, of Leominster, MA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Carole was born on May 10, 1937, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Edmund "Bert" and Helen Bridget Slattery. She graduated from St. Bernard's High School in Fitchburg, MA and went on to attend the Chandler School in Boston.
Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert "Miggs" Shaw, who passed in August of 2025.
Carole is survived by her son, Michael and his partner, Lee Miller; daughter, Vicki Bourdon and her husband, Tom Bourdon; her son, Stephen Shaw; and her daughter, Kristen Cunningham and her husband, Jim Cunningham; her brother, Terry Slattery and sister-in-law Beth Slattery; her brother-in-law Jim Shaw and dear companion, Millie Caswell; her grandchildren Shawna (Tim) Grimes, Lindsay (TJ) Menerey, Allison (Zach) Brown, Heather Shaw, Steven Shaw, Liam Cunningham, and Maggie Cunningham; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Carole's life journey was filled with love, resilience, and a strong commitment to her family. You always knew where you stood with Carole because she said what she meant and meant what she said. Carole's spirit will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Manor on The Hill Assisted Living for the compassionate care and support provided to Carole.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation at St. Leo’s Church in Leominster, MA on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at the same location.
