Carole Joan Toliver, age 90, died on March 23, 2026 in St. George, Utah due to long illness.
Carole, known as "Jo", was born on May 11, 1935, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Carole A. (Gillen) and Frank L. Holmes.
A career educator in the Michigan Public Schools, Jo was known for her imagination and creativity; she was dedicated to art and child loving development. Jo was a kind, loyal, and outgoing person with a wonderful sense of humor. She touched the lives of many and will be missed by many.
Jo is survived by Jack E. Toliver (spouse), Gale L. Toliver (daughter), and Francis Cleveland (sister).
She is preceded in death by Jeffery Toliver (son) and Carol (Toliver) Friedenberg (daughter).
In lieu of cards and flowers, memorial remembrances may be sent to the Alpha Chi Omega, sorority at the University of Kansas or Hillsdale College, Michigan, in Carole Joan Toliver's name
