Spilsbury Mortuary - St. GeorgeCharles E. Davis, age 83, passed away on March 25, 2026. Charles was born, May 2, 1942, in Strasburg, OH to Raymond G. Davis and Linnie C. Glaser Davis.
Charles married Belva Daris Davis on July 1, 1967, in Henderson, NV.
He was raised in Dover, OH where he also attended school. He moved from Ohio to Henderson, NV in 1961, then moved to St. George, UT in 1973. He worked in Culinary as a Chef for 55 years. His hobbies included fishing, camping, and crossword puzzles. He also loved wrestling, baseball and football.
Charles is survived by his wife, Belva of La Verkin, UT; his son, James of La Verkin, UT; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Rosemary Billingsley of Ohio, Shirley Smallwood of Ohio, Dorthy Hackley of Ohio, and Evelyn Mitchell of Nevada; as well as his brother, Raymond Davis of Alabama.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond G. and Linnie C. Davis; his sister, Anna Smallwood; brother, Robert Davis; and granddaughter, Charlene Davis.
Funeral services will be held on April 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the La Verkin LDS Stake Center, 500 North and Main, La Verkin, Utah with a viewing before starting at 9:30 a.m. Charles will be laid to rest in the La Verkin City Cemetery following the services.
Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. 435-673-2454.
