Robert "Ed" Edwin Haglock, 71 years old, passed away on March 19, 2026 at the University Inn following a long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia, also known as Pick's Disease. He was born on June 1, 1954, to the late Robert Fredrick Haglock and Thelma Olive (Linsdey) Haglock.
Ed was a 1972 graduate of Dover High School. After graduation, he continued his education obtaining an Associate Degree in Electronic Data Processing from the University of Akron, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Malone College, and a Masters of Business Administration from Ashland University.
On April 20, 1974, Ed married the love of his life, Jill Anne (Kinsey) Haglock. Ed worked for Massillon Steel Casting from 1974 to 1981 and then began his 37-year career at Timken Steel where he retired in 2018. He was a past member of Dover First Moravian Church, and a current member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Perry Township. In his free time, Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and outdoor activities like fishing and kayaking. Every August his favorite thing to do was playing in the Tigers Softball reunion game connecting with old friends. Ed was also known for his sense of humor, often making “dad jokes” to those around him.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Jill Anne; children, Travis (Marie) Haglock and Melissa (Thaddeus) Thompson; grandchildren, Benjamin Thompson, Lucas Thompson, Johnathan Thompson, and Jillian Haglock; cherished friends, Gary Williams, Dave Lentz, Paul Hagloch, and Bill Hanner.
The family would like to especially thank Crossroads Hospice and the Staff at The Inn at University Village.
