Albert Haglock Obituary
Buddy was born January 21, 1951, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Albert and Ruth (Dawson) Haglock, Sr. He was a US Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Buddy retired from Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center, a Division of Wheeling Hospital as a caregiver; a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 3.
Buddy was the pitcher for the Hoots B&D softball team and helped carry them to an undefeated season, with a record of 44-0.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Haglock of Wheeling, WV; brother-in-law John Schmidt of Wheeling, WV; father-in-law Edward Oakland of Moundsville, WV.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carol Jean (Oakland) Haglock; a sister Jackie Schmidt of Wheeling, WV; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. Jude Catholic Church at 10 am. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
