Caroline was one of the most beautiful, giving person you could have ever met. She was perfectly imperfect. So many messages say they only met her 1 or 2 times and she was a treasure to know.
She was a dog sitter, and one of her clients, a pup, could hear her coming down the road and started going in circles. The owners really got a kick out of that. She had many clients, but one was a mama's dog. It took the third day for the client to give in to Caroline's affections. So many stories about this part of her life.
Most of the time, her quick wit would have you laughing so hard that you were actually fearful of not getting your next breath. And true to herself, Caroline never left you hanging in the wind. If there were issues, Caroline would go eye to eye with you until there was resolution, a solution or hug it out. She had to have clarity. She would be OK with "Agree to disagree. No loose ends.
Caroline's major gift to many lives was her willingness to come to you in your hour of need, go the distance with you until a successful end.
Bar none, Caroline gave the ultimate sacrifice of gifting her organs. It happened on Valentine's Day, declared National Donor day. Miraculous!
Caroline happened to be put on a breathing machine, because of an abrupt diabetic situation. The breathing machine was a requirement to be eligible to donate her precious organs. The sensitive staff of Family Support at Suburban Hospital were so enlightening about organ donation and only a select few are eligible. Her youngest brother declared Caroline his hero. Truly she is. She was able to donate four organs.
We also salute the wonderful Staff of the hospital's ICU for their attention to beautiful Caroline, and their ATTENTIVENESS to the family. They are heros.
Generous Caroline was predeceased by her father, Ben Erskine and her brother, Christopher Erskine.
Those left to survive Caroline are her mother, Joyce Erskine-Jordan (Paul) three brothers
Greg Erskine, Louisville, Ky and Martin Erskine from Palm Springs, Ca., Timothy Erskine, from Charlotte, NC (Heather), a SPECIAL sister, Xonia Garcia, Jim Bealmear, a light in her life, a nephew, Ian Erskine and an adorable Godchild, Avery Bischof.
Visitation at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, Wednesday February 16, 2022 from 4 to 7 PM and services will be held on Februry 17, 2022 at St Francis of Rome, 2009 Payne St. 10 AM.

I´m late to the game on this. Caroline and I chatted online since my husband and I purchased her ancestral home in emporium pa years ago and turned it into a boutique hotel. Carolines family is responsible for the founding of Sylvania. That was our connection. She was a very funny, loving person with an incredible passion for animals. The world has truly lost a shining star.
