Mrs. Caroline Bunton Hemric passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025 at Mountain Valley Hospice of Yadkinville after a yearlong illness. Together they have two children, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren who all lovingly refer to her as “Nana”. Everything was always better at Nana’s house – even the Hamburger Helper, her family’s favorite meal. She graduated from Jonesville High School and has never lost touch with her “Jay Girls”. In addition to her love of family and friends, she also loved her flowers and cherished her Border Collies. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Eugene Bunton. Mrs. Hemric is survived by her husband Gilbert Hemric, son Van (Jennifer) Hemric, daughter Amber Hemric, grandchildren Ashton (Taylor) Davis, Colton and Mallorie Hemric, Kylie and Kaleb Shinault, great grandchildren Nora and Abram Davis, sister Nancy (Ray) Zwack, and sisters-in-law Kathy Hemric and Vonda Blackburn. Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive to cherish her memory. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. A public graveside service will be conducted 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the Hemric Family Cemetery on Hemric Mountain, 5043 Highland Grove Place in Hamptonville. All friends are encouraged to arrive at the cemetery between 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM to park and be shuttled to the graveside, and friends are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs to the graveside service.
