Caroline Margaret Sheely

Caroline Margaret Sheely, age 81, of Moscow, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. She was born on December 10, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, to Arthur and Isabel (Hunter) Bechler. Caroline married Lowell Sheely on November 20, 1967, and he survives.
Caroline graduated from Jonesville High School in 1961. Throughout Lowell's 20-year military career, Caroline was a devoted United States Air Force wife and mother. She also worked as the Moscow Township Clerk for many years and for the Untied States Postal Service at the Moscow Post Office. Caroline enjoyed attending the Moscow Bible Church and operating her Ham radio under the call sign KC8WFW. She was a talented cook, gardener, and lover of all animals, taking in many stray cats over the years. Caroline also loved Hello Kitty and collecting Hello Kitty memorabilia.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, Lowell Sheely, Caroline is survived by one son, Lowell "Scott" Sheely of Moscow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin brother, Frank Bechler; and her sister, Laurine (Robert "Bob") Kies.
At Caroline's request, there will be no services at this time, and a private family burial will take place at a later date at Moscow Plains Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville.
