Terry Allen Bumpus

Terry Allen Bumpus, age 63, of Jonesville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on February 15, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1962, to Jess and Barb (Taylor) Bumpus in Hillsdale, Michigan. He met the love of his life Darlene (Felkey) Bumpus and together they had over 43 years of marriage.

Terry graduated from Jonesville High School. He was a hard worker and spent over 19 years at Twin Stix Transport in Paulding, Ohio, hauling steel. He loved anything with an engine that moved and especially enjoyed racing street stock at Butler Motor Speedway where he was crowned champion twice during his racing career from the 1980's until 2018. Terry loved his family and friends and would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed going camping, taking trips to Mackinaw City, and caring for his beloved cocker spaniel, Lashes.

In addition to his wife, Darlene Bumpus, Terry is survived by two children, Kristy (Nolan) Fain, and Terri-Jo Bumpus; four grandchildren, Dakota (Blaze) Bethel, Kody Lindquist, Angel Hoskins, and Summer Hoskins; one great-grandson, Braxton Bethel; and four siblings, Mike (Tracey) Bumpus, Pat (Angie) Bumpus, Penny Bumpus, and Brian Bumpus.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his great-grandson, Bryson Bethel; brother, Tracy Bumpus; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

According to Terry's wishes, there will be no services at this time, and a celebration of life will be announced at a future date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to assist with funeral expenses or to the American Cancer Society.
