Mrs. Carolyn Jenkins Addison, age 84, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart in Lavonia, GA.
Born September 18, 1938 in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Beulah Jenkins.
Mrs. Addison was a secretary at Stephens County High School, and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Family members include her son, Tony (Candace) Addison of Toccoa; grandsons, Jamey Addison and Randall Addison; great-grandchildren, Colton Addison, Brycen Addison, Alexa Addison and Hadassah Addison; sisters-in-law Ophelia Fulbright and Euline Johnson; brother-in-law Melvin Addison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burchel Latmer Addison; and her brother, Dallas Jenkins.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 6pm-8pm Friday, September 1, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock Saturday, September 2, 2023 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Dr. Jamie Smith officiating.
Graveside service will follow at Stephens Memorial Gardens with Dr. Fred Lodge officiating.
The family is requesting that all attendees please wear a mask.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Colton Addison, Randall Addison, Jamey Addison, Brycen Addison and Michael Thomas. The Becky Pruitt Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Flowers are optional. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Jerry Snell, 575 Rosedale Street, Toccoa, GA 30577.
