Ms. Carolyn Sue Baker, age 71 of Corbin, Kentucky wife of the late, Sterling Ray Baker passed away on Sunday afternoon at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky.
She was the mother of James Saylor and wife, Susan, Rosemary Broughton and husband, Rambo and Gladys Baker all of Corbin, Kentucky and Elizabeth Saylor and husband, Mike of London, Kentucky. She was the sister of Robert Reynolds and wife, Francis and Shirley Hobbs all of Barbourville, Kentucky. She was also blessed with fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Wendy’s Restaurant Corporation.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Saylor, by her parents, Tip and Mary McBee Reynolds, by one grandson, Christopher Marion, by four brothers, Lawrence Reynolds, Benjamin Reynolds, Billy Reynolds and Howard Reynolds, by seven sisters, Margaret Stephenson, Linda Reynolds, Bonnie Reynolds, Beulah Reynolds, Lois Reynolds, Penny Reynolds and Barbara Reynolds.
Funeral services for Ms. Carolyn Sue Baker will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Orangie Wheat officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson-Garland Cemetery in the Long Branch Community of Knox County, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Carolyn Sue Baker will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be, T.J. Knuckles, Ryan Palmer, Brian Leath, Theron Wagers, Coby Marion, D.J. Smallwood and Nehemiah Doderer.
