Carolyn Ann Barson

Carolyn Ann Barson, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at her birthplace in South Bend, Indiana. Born on January 23, 1939, Carolyn's life was a testament to the enduring strength and warmth of a loving heart.
Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Terri Stanage of Mishawaka, Indiana, Tim (Sheryl) Barson of Union, Michigan, and Scott Barson of Whitestown, Indiana. Her memory will be cherished by her adoring granddaughters, Jennifer Stanage and Jordan Barson.
After graduating from Adams High School, Carolyn was employed by Memorial La Petite Daycare for many years and owned Brown Star Nursery School.
She enjoyed working in her yard, decorating her home. Carolyn was a fan of Notre Dame Women's Basketball and Notre Dame Football.
Carolyn had many dog companions over the years, her favorite being a Golden Retriever named Holly. Towards the last years of her life, Carolyn's best companion was a kitten named Sammy.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Ronald Barson; her mother, Mildred (McCully) Woolley; her father, Russell Woolley; and her supportive community of friends and extended family, who will remember her for the precious moments shared.
