Carolyn Scott Blake slipped into eternal rest on September 28, 2025. She was born on January 27, 1944 in Cabarrus County to the late George Walter Scott and the late Louise Rodgers Scott.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: Norman Blake Sr.; daughter, Tonda Renee Blake; three siblings: Frances Scott Brewer, Buford Scott, Ruford Scott and husband of forty-six years, Norman Blake Sr.

Carolyn was educated in the Cabarrus County School System. She was employed at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in her early years. She would later work for Terry Products where she was there for over twenty years. Carolyn was an amazing seamstress. She also attended First Baptist Church for many years.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughter, Raquel Blake (Michael Belin); granddaughter, Taryn Gladden (Patrick Morrison) of the home; two sons: Norman Blake Jr., Nolan Blake; five grandchildren; great-grand, Taylin Morrison of the home; sisters: Sadie Ford, Helen Forney; aunt, Alice Scott Fisher and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home located at 302 Broad Drive in Concord. The visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 at the Salisbury National Cemetery. The burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Lamb Funeral Home Inc. will be serving the family.
