Carolyn A. Casacchia, 78, of Neshannock Township passed away the evening of September 6, 2025 at Haven Convalescent Home.
Born in New Castle on June 23, 1947, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Leon J. and Virginia C. Baranski Chrobak.
On June 10, 1972 Carolyn married her beloved husband, John M. Casacchia. John preceded her in death on September 26, 2010.
Carolyn was a graduate of Robert Morris Jr. College in Pittsburgh, PA. After college, Carolyn worked in the office at Universal Rundle, Fisher's Big Wheel in Accounts Payable, Video World as a salesperson and Jameson Candy as a candy maker and salesperson.
Carolyn was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Some of Carolyn's favorite past times were watching Hallmark Movies and taking trips to Disney World with her family. A loving mother, and grandmother her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Zenar (Michael), sisters-in-law, Linda Chrobak, Carol Capozzio(Jeff), nephews, Brian Chrobak, Michael Russo, niece, Danielle Patton (Mike) and one granddaughter, Gianna Marie.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel P. Chrobak.
Visitation will be on Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Aaron Kriss will officiate. Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
