Carolyn Copeland, 86, of Desloge, MO, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington, MO. Born on October 27, 1938, in Doe Run, MO, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of the late Jewell Lindsey and Anna (Haile) Townsend.
Throughout her life, Carolyn was known for her nurturing spirit and her passion for cooking. Carolyn's creativity extended beyond the kitchen; she was a gifted seamstress and an avid decorator, transforming her home and gardens into beautiful reflections of her love for nature and decorating. She was a Home Interior consultant for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Townsend and husband Harry; father, Jewell Lindsey and wife Lorraine; sister, Joanne Bloom and husband Roy; brothers, Gary Lee Lindsey and wife Kathy, Jewell “Steve” Lindsey and wife Tilly, Ralph Lindsey, Francis Lindsey, Jean Lindsey and Donnie Lindsey; son-in-law, Denny AuBuchon and granddaughter, Amanda AuBuchon; daughter-in-law, Lori Lunsford; former spouse, Freddy Lunsford and William W. Copeland.
Carolyn's family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by three children, Karen (Lunsford) Harris and husband Steve; Teresa Agnew and husband Randy, Freddy Lunsford and wife Peggy; stepson, William Copeland and wife Elena; grandchildren, April (Michael) Newton, Justin Hargrove, Jessica AuBuchon, Bradley (Alison) AuBuchon, Cameron Lunsford, Maci Lunsford and Brandon (Christy) Asher; step-grandson, Tyler Copeland and family; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis “Jickie” Lindsey and wife Brenda, Hannah Lee, Kay Outmann, Dani Bryan and husband Bill, James “Bud” Lindsey, Kathy Lindsey, Joseph Lindsey and wife Stacy; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive.
Carolyn will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Reverend Randy Murphy will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Park Hills. Memorials may be directed to The Arthritis Foundation.
