Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 22, 2024, at her home with her family by her side, at the age of 89 years. Carolyn was born on June 05, 1935 in Walhalla, MI, to the late George and Leona (Bergez) Rader. She married Robert DeShone on July 2, 1955; he predeceased her on November 30, 2021. Carolyn worked as a bus driver for Bridgeport Spaulding School District. She was a member of the Moose Club, T.O.P.S., the Timbertown Travelers and Boot Scooters Dance Club.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Robert (Jacqueline) DeShone, Randall (Gerry Fish) DeShone, Richard (Linda) DeShone, Raymond (Kelly Vanconett) DeShone, and Ruth DeShone; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Robert DeShone, Carolyn was predeceased by a grandson.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, 3680 S. Washington Rd. Saginaw, MI. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, O.S.F.S. will officiate with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends and family will be received from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, MI 48601, as well as at the church Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
