Carolyn M. Freeman

Carolyn M. Freeman, 86, of Naples, Florida, passed away on December 20, 2025, at NCH North following an extended illness. Carolyn was born on February 24, 1939, in Cayuga, Indiana, a daughter of the late Charles M. and May L. (née Livengood) Black. She had been a resident of Naples since 1983, having moved from Tullahoma, Tennessee.

Prior to relocating to Florida, Carolyn and her late husband, Charles Freeman, owned and operated several restaurants in Tullahoma, including the well-known Freeman's Restaurant. After moving to Naples, she continued her professional life working as a bookkeeper for a local real estate company. Carolyn was known for her strong work ethic, dedication to her family, and pride in the businesses she helped build.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Freeman and his wife, Kalla, of Bonita Springs, Florida; her daughter, Cynthia E. Blasucci of Naples, Florida; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Freeman; her brother, Ronald Black; her sister, Lola Kapaldo; and one grandson.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Naples Memorial Gardens. Burial will follow.
