With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mom, who departed this world on 02/04/2025. She was a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a cherished friend to many.
Mom had a spirit of adventure, a creative soul, and a heart full of love. She found joy in traveling, exploring new places and embracing the beauty of the world. Whether discovering a new city or simply enjoying a quiet moment in nature, she carried a sense of wonder wherever she went.
A gifted artist, she poured her passion into pottery, shaping clay into beautiful works of art that reflected her warmth and creativity. She also had a remarkable talent for sewing, crafting everything from treasured quilts to lovingly stitched garments, each piece a testament to her patience and skill.
Above all, her greatest joy in life was her family. She adored her grandchildren, showering them with love, wisdom, and endless affection. Her laughter, stories, and unwavering support will remain in our hearts forever.
Mom is survived by her brother Roger Smith. Her children Chris and Jane Hogan, Kimberly Hogan, Clay and Karen Hogan. Her grandchildren Annie and Steven Lahti, Harrison Hogan and Bryce Hogan. Great grandson Charlie Lahti and many nieces and nephews. Though she is no longer with us, her love and legacy live on in the lives she touched.
Mom was a Charter member of the Deep River Chapter NSDAR and has a three generation legacy.
A celebration of her life will be held on 02/10/2025 starting 1pm at Orange United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s's Hospital in her honor.
She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May her adventurous spirit and boundless love continue to inspire us all
