Mildred Hogan, a beloved spirit who filled the lives of her caregivers and friends with joy and laughter, was born near New Orleans, Louisiana on April 21, 1961, in Pointe' a'la Hache, where her journey through life began.
Mildred faced challenges but met each one with a joyful heart and a spunky personality that drew people to her. She attended a developmental facility in the New Orleans area, where she thrived in an environment filled with love and support. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Mildred was relocated to New Iberia, Louisiana. Here, she found her new home among the caring staff at Arc of Acadiana, who embraced her as family and dedicated themselves to her well-being for years.
Mildred's infectious laughter and playful spirit made her a cherished presence wherever she went. She had a wonderful knack for picking at people and joking around, which left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially dining out and sharing meals with friends and caregivers.
As we celebrate Mildred’s life, we will remember the way she touched the hearts of those around her. Her kind spirit and unique humor will remain with us forever. May she rest in peace.
