Carolyn Johnson

Carolyn Johnson, age 85, a lifelong resident of Suwannee County, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and care touched everyone who knew her.

Carolyn is survived by her two children, Ginger (Jim) Yetton and Tommy (Marian) Johnson. She leaves behind four grandchildren: Shelly (Bryan) Johnson, Marty (Brandi) Hicks, Jason (Kim) Yetton, and Jamie (Aaron) Smith. Her legacy continues through her eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply. She is also survived by her three sisters, Charlotte Wood, Celia Goodson and Alice Liston.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Virgil Johnson, whom she cherished throughout their life together.

For many years, Carolyn served the community as a school bus driver. She loved her students as if they were her own, and her warmth and care left a lasting impression on countless families. Those who rode her bus remember her not just as a driver, but as someone who truly cared.

A woman of strong faith, Carolyn was of the Baptist faith and believed firmly in the Lord. Her faith guided her life and shaped the love and compassion she showed to others. She loved everyone, and that love was evident in every role she filled.

Carolyn Johnson will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and her lifelong dedication to her community. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 5th at Daniels Memorial Chapel with a visitation held prior to the service beginning at 1:0 pm. Interment will follow in the Orange Baptist Church Cemetery.
