James "Ed" Touchton

James "Ed" Touchton, aged 81, of McAlpin, FL, passed away on March 18, 2026. He moved to McAlpin in 1983 from Pinellas Park, FL, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Live Oak. A proud Vietnam Veteran, he served his country honorably in the Army. Ed dedicated ten years of his career as a mechanic for the Department of Agriculture.

He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-eight years, Patricia "Trish" Touchton, and his children: Kristie Ann "Kris" Beckman and her husband Eric of Springhill, FL, step-daughter Amber Elizabeth Avera of Live Oak, and sons Richard Edwin Touchton and Benjamin Dale Touchton, both of Live Oak. He also leaves behind his sister Grace A. McCoy and her husband Terry of Live Oak, and brother Terrell G. Touchton and his wife Colleen of Gainesville. Ed was a proud grandfather to Kyle Beckman, Rhett Touchton, Sierra Touchton, and Tristen Touchton.

He was predeceased by his son, Jimmy Edwin Touchton, and his sister, Bonnie Suber.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, followed by a service at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 23rd at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Phillip Herrington officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Willing Cemetery.
