Age 69 of Wilmington

Passed away with his family by his side on September 28, 2025.

Michael was born on August 5, 1956 to the late Joseph P. and E. Lousie (Diskau) Touchton. He grew up in Wilmington and was a proud 1974 graduate of Conrad High School. Michael faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. When he returned home, he worked for Shipley Manor and Leader Nursing Home for several years before finding his career at the State of Delaware. He retired after 30 years of dedicated service as a plant maintenance supervisor.

Michael married the love of his life Margaret Mary Danko in 1986. Together they shared 39 loving years raising their three sons.

Michael was a member of the VFW Post 2863 and enjoyed spending time at Stapler AA. He was happiest when he was spending time fishing or enjoying a sunset on the beach. Michael was an avid supporter of all Philadelphia sports teams and loved car shows and NASCAR. or as he called it "crash car".

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his infant brother, Barry; his sister, Kathleen Heverin; and his niece and nephews, Penny, Billie Joe, and Andrew.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Margie (Danko) Touchton; his sons, Joey (Heather), Max (Luis), and Ben (Ash); and his grandchildren, Kira, Maddie, Jaxon and Grayson. Michael is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Michael at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Monday, October 6 at 12:00pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00am-12:00pm. Interment will take place at the later time at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Michael's name to Humane Animal Partners or VFW Post 2863.
