Carolyn V. (Rouse) Minton, 98
1927 - 2025
Danvers - Carolyn V. (Rouse) Minton, age 98, of Danvers, formerly of Jackson, NH, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Addison Gilbert Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert Minton. Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Mildred (Chandler) Rouse. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School, and had lived in Jackson, NH for many years.
Carolyn worked as an administrator for Nixdorf Computer. In her early years, she did artwork for the Daily Item of Lynn. She was active with several political campaigns in Lynn and was also active in starting Wyoma Little League. She was a member of the Bloomer Girls, the Lynn English High reunion committee, as well as the Mountain Garden Club in North Conway and the Jackson Painted Ladies. Carolyn also volunteered at Jen's Friends Cancer Foundation in Norh Conway. She also enjoyed skiing, tennis, golf, fly fishing, traveling, and her artwork. Her greatest joy was her family, and she attended as many events as she could for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters; Gail Hickey and her husband Michael, Cathy Legere and her husband Mickey, and Karen Raye and her husband Fred; six grandchildren, Jessica Zinger and her husband Jeremiah, Mark Hickey and his wife Deborah, Michael Hickey and his wife Emily Hutchinson, Christopher Legere, Colleen Allen and her husband Josh, and Kristen Crabtree and her husband Tom; as well as seven great-grandchildren, Gemma, Landon, Shea, Layla, Kayleigh, Palmer and Teddy. She was predeceased by her son, R. Stephen Minton as well as her siblings; Elaine Poplawski and Irving Rouse.
Carolyn's daughters would like to acknowledge the staff & residents of Brightview Assisted Living for all of their support & care. She enjoyed the last several years she has lived there.
Service Information: Her memorial visitation will be on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 11AM-12PM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn, with a memorial service beginning at 12PM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jen's Friends, PO Box 1842, North Conway, NH 03860. As a friend of Gail Hickey I had the pleasure of meeting Carolyn. Her warmth, kindness and love of life and her family was joyful. She touched many and it was an honor to be a part of her life. She is at peace now. My sincerest condolences.
