Carolyn Jo Rogers Nethery, of Trenton, GA, has crossed the river Jordan and is now watching her loved ones on the road that is never ending.
Born in Dade County, Georgia at the Owenby Clinic, Carolyn was a 1968 graduate of Davis High School where she proudly served with the Yellow Jacket Marching Band and basketball team. C.J. began her professional career in the insurance industry with Provident Life & Casualty where she retired in 2012 with 40 plus years of service. Carolyn was a 49-year member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Nayomia Rogers and brother-in-law, Mike Nethery.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Nethery; son, Matt (Dana) Nethery; grandsons, Bryce (fiance', Stahr) Nethery, & Brayden Nethery; sisters, Freida Cloud, & Teresa (James) Cash; brother, Lonnie (Cindy) Rogers; sisters-in-law, Patti Nethery & Dana A. Nethery; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 23rd at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ty McIntyre and Bro. Darren Rogers officiating. Interment to follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the charity of your choice or Davis School. Condolences may be shared at ryanfuneralhome.net.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff of 6th floor CHI Memorial North.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22nd from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 23rd from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour at Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory, Trenton, GA.
