Carolyn Ann Parsons

Carolyn Parsons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully from this life on October 21, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on May 30, 1945 Carolyn built a remarkable legacy in Lunenburg County, Virginia, where she faithfully served for many years as the Magistrate and then the Registrar of Lunenburg County. Through her dedication and integrity, she became a trusted leader and friend to many in her community.

She is survived by her devoted husband Charles Jimmie Parsons; her brother Bob Burroughs; daughters Cynthia Smith (and husband Dale) and Sherri Thorne (and husband Jimmy); grandchildren John Knowles, Lynn Daniels, Dylan and JT Thorne; and eight cherished great-grandchildren.

A Christian woman of deep faith, Carolyn’s compassion and unwavering love for her family defined her life. She now rests peacefully, expectantly waiting for her loved ones on the porch of Heaven.
