Carolyn Reddicks Obituary
A native of Washington County, she was born on October 26, 1941, to the late John M. and Geneva Grigsby Reddicks.
She was a member of the Gardenside Christian Church, a graduate of Springfield High School, Kentucky Wesleyan College and the University of Kentucky. Carolyn was a former music teacher in Boone County.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Joseph Roger Reddicks on October 8, 1952, and a sister, Janet Koerner on April 17, 2021.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Louis Koerner and two nephews, Jeffery Koerner (Tammy) and Gregory Koerner (Tracy) all of Lexington.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Currans, minister of the Gardenside Christian Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg,
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn was my best friend in May Festival Chorus for 10 years. We sat beside one another and had similar views on politics, teaching music and faith in God. She rented me her condo in Florence after she moved out which helped me during a difficult time in my life. She loved my two children and always asked about them when we talked. She was such a loving, thoughtful and true friend. We didn´t spend as much time together once I moved to Lexington a year ago as I thought we would, so I will deeply miss her sweet friendship.

I was so sad to hear Carolyn passed away at church today. She was always so positive despite her illness. I´ll miss her smiling face and her singing!!

Carolyn was a dear neighbor and cherished friend. I am deeply saddened by her passing and will miss our conversations in the front and back yards-they were always uplifting and good for my soul. She had a way of bringing light and warmth to those around her, and our street will never feel quite the same without her presence. Carolyn was truly a wonderful person, and we will forever love and miss her.
