Carolyn Schillig Obituary
Carolyn J. Parizek Schillig was born January 15, 1932 in Lone Tree, Iowa, the daughter of George and Leona Parizek. She graduated from Lone Tree High School and attended 1 ½ years for a professional teaching degree at Cedar Falls College. On April 10, 1950, Carolyn married Joe Schillig whose occupation was farming. Carolyn enjoyed farm life and then continued as a cook and dietitian at nursing homes and the University of Iowa. She loved cooking, canning, gardening, quilting, homemaking and most loved her children. Survivors include her three children Alexandra Schillig Boseant of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Deanna Redington of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Allan Schillig (Zen) of Tucson, AZ. She has 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death were her parents, her past husband Joe Schillig, and recent husband William E. Walker.
