Carolyn J. Seymour, age 83, of Clayton, passed away peacefully at her home on July 5, 2025. Born on October 14, 1941, in Owen County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Ehrenhardt) Stephens. Carolyn was a devoted and loving wife to her husband of 65 years, Harold Seymour, who survives. They were married on June 10, 1960. A graduate of Indiana Business College, Carolyn worked as an accountant for Stewart Warner Corporation in Indianapolis before retiring. She and Harold attended Clayton Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Rosalie Graham and a brother Paul "Stanley" Stephens.

Those who knew Carolyn will remember her as a kind, thoughtful, and loving person. Carolyn loved reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. She also had a deep passion for her favorite sports teams-the Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts-and supported them with enthusiasm. In addition to her husband Harold, she is survived by her daughter, Michele Wright (Ralph) and their children Ben and Iva; son, Chuck Seymour (Patty) and their children Kendra (Jordan) and Hailey. Carolyn will also be missed by her beloved cat, Mr. Kitty.

No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Carolyn's memory to the Clayton Christian Church, 5110 IN-39, Clayton, Indiana 46118.

The Hall-Baker Funeral Home of Plainfield is handling her arrangements.
