Carolyn R. (Himes) Skelton, 91 of Cambridge Springs, passed peacefully on October 8, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born June 20, 1934 in Meadville, the daughter of Emmer C. Himes and Martha M. Shoppard.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Lewis Skelton Sr.; two sisters, Kathleen Davis and Nancy C. (Himes) Prock; one brother, Rexford (Rex) Wilson; two daughters, Nicollet Foy and Martha A. (Foy) Bucko; two stepsons, Brady L. Skelton and Gaylord E. Skelton.
She is survived by two sons, Lewis G. Skelton Jr. (Robin) of Edinboro and Emmer G. Skelton (Janet) of Cambridge Springs; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Carolyn was a lover of animals; with many cats, goats and cows over the years on the farm. She enjoyed growing sweetcorn and selling it on her roadside stand. She enjoyed spending time outside working in her flower beds and garden; and working on crafts and attending craft shows.
She was a member of Washington Valley Christian Church.
No services will be held at this time. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in entrusted with funeral arrangements.
Donations can be made in her name to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary or the Anna Shelter.
