Carolyn Justice Stergos

Carolyn Justice Stergos, 87, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Rockingham, North Carolina, on September 30, 1937 to the late Charles Hooks and Carrie Alice Covington Parker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Stergos and a brother, Charles Hooks, Jr.

Carol was an avid reader, enjoyed shopping and traveling. She was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. Most of all, Carol adored her grandchildren and the time they shared together. She leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Ken Bennett (Susan) and Amy Soeder (Dallas); grandchildren, Christina Johnson (Larry), Steven Bennett, and Philip Austin; and her great-grandchildren, Grant Johnson, Chloe Pelusi (Zack), Savannah Johnson, Laylah Johnson, and Olivia Bennett; brother, Tom Parker; and sister, Daphne BeLanger. She has one great-great-grandchild on the way.
