Carolyn Swift, age 80 of Sparta, passed away Thursday morning, October 24, 2024 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct 17, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to the late William Wesley Bowerman and Helen Ruth Thompson Goodwin. Carol was employed at Mallory until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Jimmy G. Swift
Her Daughter: Debra (Gary) Sparks, grandchildren: Janice (Ryan) Weidman Christian (Kelli) Sparks, Great-grandchildren: Bella Miller, Coco Miller, Connor Weidman, Elias Weidman, Oliver Sparks, Milo Sparks and Finn Sparks
Daughter: Tammy (Robert) McCoy, grandchildren: Heather Lack & boyfriend Will Willis, Hunter (Skylar) McCoy, Hannah (Ethan) James, Haven McCoy & Scott Daughtry, Great-grandchildren: Kayden Lack, Brayden Lack, Xayden Lack, Beth Ann Lack, Leighton James, and Job McCoy
Son: Eddie Swift
Daughter: Glynda (Mitch) Farley, grandchildren: Storm (Kalene) Farley, Justus (Angelique "AJ") Farley, Great-grandchildren: Jozette Justine Farley and Austyn Loretta Farley
Son: Jimmy D (Tammy) Swift, grandchildren: Jerrica Swift and Jimma D. Swift
Special Son: Jason Evitts
Sister: Delores Hall
along with several dear nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Old Bon Air Cemetery. Bro Tony Wilson and Bro. Steve Webster will officiate the services. The family will receive friends from 3 pm till 8 pm on Saturday and from 9 am until service time on Sunday.
